Important Message to Members

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm happy to inform all of you that the format and operations of this site will be drastically changing in the near future, and will be looking to cater to a larger audience. In order to do that, I believe it is necessary to provide Calgary with a more user-friendly and more attractive and informative environment that focuses on a broader scope of content.

I strongly recommend to our users to go through their private messages, look for anything you may need to keep or want to keep, copy it and save it in a separate text file. I also recommend doing the same for any of the threads you've seen in here and used for information in the past.

Since there is a good possibility that we will be transitioning out of a forum setup in the next 2 months, I strongly recommend getting on this as soon as possible.

I believe this is sufficient and diligent notice for our members. We appreciate the activity you've brought to our site and look forward to your continued support in the future.

Regards,

J

"Drastic changes" to "cater to a larger audience"? The fuck, J? If you wanted to run CGP, man, you could have just said so.

But hey, it's your sandbox - Play how you want.

We're not going anywhere actually. I would just prefer this site at LEAST pay for itself. So far, I'm paying out of pocket to have you dudes thrash around. I posted this in light of a yet ANOTHER bike forum that's trying to start up in Calgary. The community is small, and we will still serve the bike element, just not as particularly.

We're also going to avoid full on shop sponsors next year so as not to alienate anyone who might be a fan of a different one. That said, if a sales guy wants a spot here, we're more than open to the idea. We'd like to keep the peace here and we'll avoid losing members and J getting bitched at.

We've managed to grab 400 members within two years, and we'd like to get the numbers up. (Don't forget, we pruned 100 of them who hadn't been active in a loooong time)

:)

We actually had this going on about 5 years ago, the forum software was total shit that we had before so we just axed it. A lot of our members play with both Tom44, Takahashi and a number of other people have big power turbo cars.

And Good luck to YOU sir :) Say hi to your racer chicks for me, they have great personalities and are VERY humble :P

I'll pop by from time to time

I've got two Saabs - 9-3 Viggen and 9-5 Aero. Both completely stock except for the Viggen - I put the rescue kit in to stiffen up the steering and get rid of some that nasty tourque steer.
