Come spring I will probably be rebuilding the engine on my '89 Ninja 250. Either that, or I'll sell it for $1000 and be done with it.

1987 Merkur XR4Ti, in that shiny, shiny factory Azure Blue

Done or Essential:

Pulled a fastball garage rebuild on the bottom end last month (Honed, Ring'd, and Bearings of all sorts)

Pulled the Turbocharger after the needle bearings in it let go - Need to get a kit, or find a decent Rebuild so I can get it mobile again

Disassembly of suspension (Front end, specifically) to replace all ancient, worn-out rubber bushings with Polyurethane kit

Replacement of Borg-Warner T9 transmission with the T5 I've got sitting in the garage

Installation of the ghetto eBay Intercooler I got with the car, or perhaps purchase and installation of a Rapido IC (Or a Forge RS Intercooler, maybe)

Hopefulls pending time/money/skill:

Want to get a MC2Racing performance suspension kit with the upgraded anti-roll bars and adjustables

3" Turbo downpipe and full cat-back Borla dual exhaust

Stage 2 clutch kit install

17" 4x108 wheels with some 50 series tires

Replacement of rear Drum Brakes with Discs (Probably from an SVO Mustang)

Upgraded ECU (From a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, or maybe I'll win the lotto and be able to afford one of those fancy new units and programming)

Cut out rotted iron supports under side skirting and graft in new metal to stop the cancer

-=-=-

Lesse... Can't think of anything else specific yet (Besides the obvious dreams of a brand new Ford 2.3 Lima, and one of those fancy variable exhaust vane Turbos, or something else costing thousands upon thousands of dollars).

The big plan is to get this thing solid so I can have some fun with it in the summer time as my daily, and run some Solo I and II events with the Calgary Sport Car Club

Tom and I are looking for a 1.8T Engine/Trans to build a track car. Also a bolt in cage and some other parts.
